Connect a Chatbot to Your Website and Workflow

Connect a chatbot to the right part of your website and enquiry process. Confirm compatibility, permissions and supported actions before choosing an integration.

Three different integration scopes

Website embed

A widget provides a conversation interface on a website. It does not automatically gain access to customer accounts or other systems.

Supported connector

A specific connection exchanges information or performs defined operations. Its capabilities and limits need to be checked against the service you use.

Custom API integration

A tailored connection needs documented permissions, data mapping, error handling and an owner for maintenance.

What we need to check

  • The exact website platform and system version.
  • Whether the desired connection is currently supported.
  • The information sent and received, and why it is needed.
  • Who can grant access and which operations are permitted.
  • What happens during a failure, timeout or duplicate request.
  • Who maintains the connection when a provider changes.

WordPress, Shopify, CRMs and booking systems

Bring the names of the tools you use and a description of the workflow. A product name alone does not establish compatibility. For example, embedding a widget on a WordPress site is different from providing a WordPress plugin, and displaying store information is different from accessing authenticated orders. We confirm the specific connection as part of the project scope.

Keep customer data and actions appropriately controlled

Give each connection only the access it needs. Do not place private credentials in public page content or a visitor-facing conversation. A chatbot response should not independently confirm a booking, charge or account change unless the connected system has actually completed the action.
